Monday morning I woke up feeling "off" but just chalked it up to being REALLY pregnant and taking care of three kids. As the day went on I felt more and more "off." Around 9am I started having some contractions but I refused to go to the hospital because I was fearful of the whole "nope....not it...go home" talk. So I scheduled an appointment (just like I did with the twins) to be seen at the doctors office. I got there around 1pm and by this time I was miserable! She checked me and simply said "It's baby day!" I had the nurse help me get dressed and get me to my car (daddy was at home with the kids cause I "thought" I'd be fine)....called daddy and Gaga and said the same thing "It's baby day!" Daddy was asked instructed TOLD to have the three kids ready to go and that we'd be meeting Gaga at the hospital ASAP! By the time I got home (only a 7 minute drive) I was miserable (OK in serious pain!). Daddy quickly got the kids in the car and we raced (safely) to the hospital. I told daddy that when we got there I would need a wheelchair once I got in the door.....I breathed, moaned and whimpered through some pretty rough contractions and tried to hide what I was really feeling from the kids (I didn't want to scar them for life). I will say, Maddie had quite the serious face on her during the car ride. When we got there I told daddy to get someone to get me a wheelchair RIGHT at the door cause there was no way I could walk. I breathed through one more contraction and then got into the chair as soon as I could before another one started. I was brought right into my labor room and hooked up. I was there for maybe 30 minutes and then my water was broken. At 4:30 daddy said he was hungry and didn't want to eat in front of me (honestly I could not have cared less at this point). I texted daddy at 4:50pm and said I'm 4.5cm....then THREE minutes later I said OMG I have to push...and the doctor said let me check...she said OMG you are 8cm call you husband...THREE minutes later!!!! I called and told him to RUN! He made it in the room just as I was about to push. I went from 4.5 to pushing in no time flat! The doctor barely got her gear on and three pushes later Jacob arrived! At 5:15pm he came into this world and into our lives and joyously into my arms! It truly was the MIRACLE birth I had prayed for! I never had "that moment" after my firsts or the twins birth....when my first was born they took him away right away because he wasn't breathing....when the twins were born the same thing happened and they immediately went to the level two nursery because they were preemies (and b/c I had a c-section)....Jacob was placed into my arms and has captured my heart! (Just like all of my children). He truly has made my life complete! He is an amazing eater, sleeps for 3-4 hour stretches at night, is a poopin' machine and is so peaceful! We are all so very much in love!
he weighed 8#9oz and was 20 3/4 inches
