LO's are tough when it comes to vaccines!

I had the DTAP shot yesterday, I was told it is now recommended if you're planning to be pregnant or around small children and they told me I should have had it before I had T!  I switched providers midway through my pregnancy with her, so I guess it fell through the cracks.   

Anyway, the point being, OMG it HURTS!!  I know its the tetanus part that hurts, but it really hurts, I can barely lift my arm and I don't think I'm a wuss about pain, I've had surgeries, broken bones and a natural birth!  No wonder LO's are so cranky after shots.  I have a low grade fever too and just generally feel like crap.  Makes me think she's been a super trooper with all the shots she's had.  Whine over.

    Ouch!  I got one at the hospital when I had T so I guess I didn't notice the pain with everything else going on.

    I got the shot at the hospital the nest day after I had E, too. It hurt a lot and my arm was sore for a few days.

    I KNOW, right??? And I hate how the pedi nurses just pound those bad boys in. I asked the nurse why they have to inject their vaccines so fast because it hurts worse. She said it was because the baby might move/jerk and that would be so much worse, makes sense - but OWIE, my poor baby!!!!

    This, exactly. I don't remember feeling anything the day after birth. :-)
