The girls had their joint birthday party there on Sunday. The kids were all from DD #1's preschool class (DD #2 doesn't really have any "friends" yet - just kids she goes to daycare with, but I don't really know all those kid/parents very well...). Carmen Cotto is the owner at the Burke My Gym and she was incredibly accomodating.
Highly recommend. Very fun, and while a little $$, since we have a newborn at home, it was worth every penny to NOT have this party at our house.
Also, the staff members run the whole party, so I could sit back and relax and talk to the other parents and take (a TON of) pictures.
Another recommendation - the 1/2 sheet cake from BJ's was really good and only $20. We got the whipped topping instead of the buttercreme frosting and I think that was what made it so good.
Re: Rave for birthday party at the Burke My Gym
How is your DS doing? He's almost past that "fourth trimester" phase.
Thanks for asking gtown. He was getting better with the colicky/crying/GI stuff but then the RSV hit. So now we have coughing-to-the-point-of-choking, crying during the nebulizer, and terrible sleeping at night. Oh, and he'll only sleep in his swing during the day. My MIL (the good one) is with us this week taking care of him. It's a good thing too, I wouldn't have been able to start him at daycare this week. I'm not even sure he'll be well enough to start Monday the 14th as planned. Today is my second day back in the office and I miss him like crazy.
How's that for a rambling answer?
Artslvr - J hated the nebulizer too but I found it helped to sing to him, or read to him. But (randomly) what really helped the most was having someone else do it - he never cried when my mom nebulized him! See if your MIL can do it. Outsourcing!
Sorry you miss the little guy . . . it seems like there's never a good time to go back to work. They're either just getting fun (yay!) or sick and you feel guilty (boo).
