Hello, hope you don't mind a vent from a lurker. DH and I have been TTC for a little over 2 years. Seeing a RE and had a lap. There was endo, spetum and cysts found. Currently doing ovidrel with monitoring, etc. RE would like us to try for a few more months before moving on.
I have had other pregnant people in my life, but for some reason, the latest ones are like a knife to the heart. I literally sat in the bathroom and cried today. Doesn't help that I tested on Sunday to get a BFN. Out of the 4 people, 2 got pregnant the 1st month of trying. The 3rd has only been married since last July and is due in June so she wasn't trying very long either.
The most recent was a friend on fb who later made the following comment to her own status : " I most definitely planned this baby around cheer. It will be old enough to be exposed but not old enough to be mobile!!!! Well except being passed around the stands;) " Wow, must be nice to "plan" your pregnancy.
I am happy for them all, but WHEN WILL IT BE MY TURN???
Re: Got my bitterpants on (pregnancy mentioned)
I feel your pain...
Yesterday I was welcomed to school (I''m a teacher also) by a "pregnancy themed" congratulations breakfast for my 8th (yes 8th) co-worker to get KU this school year. Each breakfast dish was themed like the "egg-specting casserole" and the "monkeying around monkey bread"...needless to say it is becoming hard for me to grin and bear it and pretend that we aren't ttc.
To end the day, my principal cornered me in the copy room at the end of the day asking when I am going to be #9!! "Really, what is your plan are you going to start trying soon?" I wanted to scream at her "YES we have been trying for a year!!!!!"
Hopefully today will be better:) Thanks for the vent...some days are harder than others.
I am sorry. I have been going through the same thing. You want to be happy for them, yet it hurts knowing your own struggles. I had a friend tell me she had her doctor take out her IUD. Her doctor said it will take 6 months and she said no it is going to happen now because that is what I planned. She told me that week she was pregnant. I wish it were that easy for all of us. Hang in there and I hope things improve for you.
