The longest weekend ever!

Thank you all so much for your prayers and thoughts. They were a blessing and worked. Thanks Kim for giving updates. Here is a long birth weekend story.

Welcome to the World Hailey! Our beautiful little girl came into the world at 7:28am on Friday October 24th. She was 8lbs 14oz and 18" long. The c-section went well and we were joking around the whole time. After they got her out they checked her out the found out she was not breathing right and her heart was not working properly. They took her off to the NICU and I did not get to see her for 12 hours. They found two holes in her heart. She had to be on oxygen for the first 12 hours or so. I had to be in bed and not get up for 6-8 hours after surgery so I waited patiently to go see her down stairs. So the first time I get up my c-section scar burst open and blood went all over the floor. I mean like 2-3 liters of blood pouring out of me. It was super scary. They had to rush me down to the operating room and do emergency surgery on me. I ended up having a blood clot the size of a small cantaloupe. Everything burst open. The uterus, the stomach, the surgery site all 30 staples and all 140 stitches. At that point my doc says no more kids for you. Cauterized the tubes the doc just had tied to make sure I never get pregnant again. They also had to take the blood clot out and (well you can ask John about that). So I finally got out of surgery and got to see my husband again. (Kinda scared I was not going to make it out of surg because of all the blood loss). I did not get to see Hailey so John begged, and begged the intensive care unit to bring Hailey to me. She ended up staying in NICU for 48 hours after she was born. So we were up and down the stairs every two hours to feed her. (hash so tired) We finally got to have our baby in our room with us on Sunday morning. We stayed until Monday morning at 11:30. So we will have to follow up with a cardiologist at Children?s. Hopefully the holes in her heart will heal on their own. Ok going to fall asleep for a few minutes. I will post pictures when I can.
