OMG the tip of my thumb is killing me!

For the past week or so the tips of certain fingers on my left hand have been killing me! They have sharp pains that are just at the tips, mostly it was my pinky and thumb. They never feel asleep that I knew of...

I thought it might be ingrown nails or something and I looked at them and they were fine...

Today my thumb has been killing me.. I have been biting down on it to stop it from hurting!

It feels like it is starting to radiate to the bone...

Ugh has anyone else experienced this?

I know there's probably nothing I can really do about it, but just wondering if it's common?

    I'm no help, but my thumb his killing me- not the tip, the joint. I assume it some pinched nerve somewhere or swelling or something?
