I had a fun weekend with my friend visiting from Cleveland but had some crappy things happen along the way. DH lost his phone on the MARTA train in Atlanta and I'm doubtful that there are enough good people left in the world to return it or take it to lost and found. And since we have to pay full retail price to replace it, it's going to cost $600 to buy a new one. Yay. I'm trying so hard not to be mad at DH since I know he's sick over it and beating himself up already, and it was just an accident but it sucks big-time.

Then I got a phone call from my uber-fertile SIL that she's pregnant again. I kept it together on the phone, handed her off to DH, then went and sobbed in the bathroom. Had to pull it together to try to enjoy the last night I had with my friend but that sucked. This is her 6th pregnancy since we've been trying, 7th overall. I have been lapped 6 times by one person? Seriously, this is my life? And of course her due date is a week after mine would have been had my first IUI worked.

Then to top it all off, she goes and sees my old RE b/c she remembered me saying that IFers tend to get early ultrasounds. So she somehow talked her way into getting in to see him and he did an u/s at 6 weeks. She then complained to me that she only saw the sac and didn't see a heartbeat. Well, hello, you wanted the early u/s and got it... now you're going to complain that you didn't see a hb?! So she gets another one in a week or two to check for a heartbeat. How the hell did she manage this since she's about the farthest thing from an infertile... she's a super/uber/extra-fertile. I feel like she's just using my old RE.

Then not even 30 minutes after telling us her news on the phone, she posts that she's expecting on FB!!!!!!! She did this last time with only having a positive HPT not even an u/s, so I guess she's progressing but she hasn't even seen the HB! Last time she lost the baby just days after posting her announcement on FB. Think she'd learn to maybe wait just a little while to post?? Nope. I think she just likes all the attention she gets from it. I mean she has 25+ comments of congratulations, and she's "liked" each individual comment. I mean, seriously. FFS. I need to request that bunker that someone was digging to just crawl in and hide for awhile. Maybe 2012 will be better.

YIKES!!! I would hide her on fb and ignore her phone calls.. let your hubby answer if you see her number.. It's his sis, let him deal with her.

You need to concentrate on you and your feelings and take care of yourself...

Wow- I don't know how the heck she got in to see your RE for an U/S. That's BS. So insurance covers that but doesn't cover half of the stuff for us infertiles.

Why would your RE even agree to that?

I'm sorry hon. I hope you enjoyed your visit with your friend- And 2011 just started- so this means it's only going to get better. Hang in there.

for what it is worth and not that it is still an amazing savings. But my DH had this happen with his iphone, so same thing. instead of $200 it would have been 600, but if you open up a new line on a family plan for $10/month, I think it had to be for 24 month so it was 440 instead. At least it was some savings. hth.
