We had scheduled Rachel's 9 month well check early because she was supposed to have an ear recheck from a previous ear infection. Unfortunately her appointment turned into a sick visit - we knew that was going to happen on Monday after little sleep over the weekend and the beginning of a cough. I picked her up from daycare early on Wednesday. She was just miserable. My poor R has bronchiolitis and double ear infections. These are new ear infections, we had her ears rechecked when we went in for her diarrhea and diaper rash 2 weeks ago.
We had to do a nebulizer while we were at the pedi. R was fine with it for about 30 seconds and then she started shaking her head no. We basically had to hold her down. It was horrible. She does not like to be constrained - after about another minute of my holding her as snuggly and singing to her she calmed down or it really looked like submitting. Really she does better with shots than she does with being constrained.
Other thing that she doesn't like - anyone in her ears or the car seat (already moved to the convertible - still doesn't like it) - during ear checks we have to hold her hands down and she freaks and getting into the car seat and being strapped down - forget about it. Thank goodness she calms down when the car starts moving.
Her stats 21lbs 9oz (93%) 28.5 inches long (85%) 46cm head circumference (97%). We go back for another visit in 3 weeks.
Re: 9 month not so well visit
Poor little sweety. I hope she starts to mend soon. That sounds just miserable. Otherwise, it sounds like she is thriving.
Caroline isn't big on being held down either. And isn't the biggest fan of being strapped into a carseat either.
I hope she feels better soon. M doesn't like being held down or having her ears checked either. And, WOW, she's a big girl
!
Poor girl!
It sounds like she is growing well. 21lbs?! I bet she has some delicious thighs! squeel!

I know! My back is feeling it today too
I'm afraid of this.
Here is my pantless wonder a couple of weeks ago - I just had to return some pjs because the thighs were too narrow
We've tried the pacifier and it works about 25% of the time. I'll have to try a mum mum.
So sorry she isn't feeling well - Delaney has been on the mend since Christmas and has taken two antibiotics since then for an ear infection, which turned into a double ear infection after the first meds didn't get rid of it. We had her 15 month visit two weeks ago, but she couldn't get her shots because she was sick - we go back Wednesday for follow up and shots (if she's all better).
And what great stats! What a thriving girl! And, my girl has chunkers for thighs too - and I love 'em!
If Baby MumMums don't work try Toddler MumMums, they're the same except flavored, S loves strawberry and caramel flavor and has been eating them since he was Rachel's age!
LOVE LOVE LOVE those sweet thighs! ! !

I'm sorry she's not feeling well! Hopefully she'll be on the mend and back to normal really soon.
At least her stats are good?
I am sorry, poor sweetie
