Just gave my notice - going to be a SAHM
That was really difficult! Even though I didn't love my job, I've been here for nearly 10 years so it was quite sad to make it official that I wouldn't be returning. With daycare and associated costs of working equaling my salary, it wasn't worth it to us to have me continue to work while putting H in daycare for 12+ hours a day.
I was nervous as hell to make that call to my boss today. He sounded simultaneously so panicked and pissed that I felt bad for putting a damper on his day. I will be going in at the end of next week for a few hours each day to tie up some loose ends, but my last official day is the 18th! I'm looking forward to a new chapter as a mommy....and having some time to weigh the options of what I would like to do in the future when I do go back to working.

Do you think they'll do an exit interview? I think you should be really honest about that whole telecommute debacle. They really should come up with something better/more official if they plan to continue to employ women of child bearing age!!!
