What is your LO's happiest place on earth?

I took my son to FAO Schwarz yesterday - it's a famous toy store in NYC.  It was cold and I thought he could have fun playing there for a while.  What was I thinking?  I couldn't get him to leave!  He passed out on the way home because he was so tired.  I think the candy room was his favorite part...and I even got him to leave without buying any candy (we did buy some crayons)!

It's a fun place if you're ever in NYC - it's just very overpriced.   Remember the piano from the movie Big?  My son spent 30 minutes on it.  It's a bargain if you want to take it home.  Only $250,000.00!.  Yes, that comma is in the right place.  LOL.

  • Probably Sesame Place, and specifically on a roller coaster. We spent two days there last summer and will probably go back this year because she had such a great time. She still talks about it all the time.

I was thinking about taking ds there this summer.  Is there one in Arizona?  The only one I know of is in Pennsylvania.   I think my son would love the rides if he's old enough for them.  I'm just not sure about the characters themselves.  Last year we went to a place with Thomas the Train - which he loves.  He was terrified of Mr. Toppin Hat!  It's a lot of money to have my son terrified of Elmo and Big Bird.  But I've heard great things about Sesame Place so I want to go - with- or without my son- LOL!

  • Jill - We went to PA! (My family lives in OH, so it's not as crazy as it seems.)

DD is definitely afraid of the characters - she loves to admire them from afar, but she will *not* touch/interact with them. Even for a kid who is not a huge Sesame fan, it is very fun. The park is about half water rides (unfortunately, it was cold on the day we brought bathing suits, but we did a few). There are no limits on the rides (maybe some of the water rides - we couldn't go on all of them because it was cold/lightning). My DD had a *wonderful* time and we're going to try and go again this year. She rode the biggest coaster 9 times! The lines were very minimal, especially once they opened the water rides (at noon). I'd definitely recommend it! We went for 2 days last time and we'll probably do that again.
