Hi Ladies,
Has anyone here done a pre-pregnancy cleanse? I am not talking to starvation of solely water and maple syrup kinda cleanse. I am talking eating mostly all organic fruits, vegetables, and high fiber foods with lots of water.
I have been reading it's a great way to get your body in the best state possible before carrying a pregnancy.
If any of you ladies have done a healthy all natural cleanse, how did you go about doing it and what was your menu like?
Re: Pre-pregnancy cleanse...anyone?
Well- if you eat crap now- then yeah- I guess it would be considered a cleanse... but really- you should eat organic veggies, fruits and high fiber foods with lots of water ALL THE TIME.
So- yeah- start this new way of eating- you WILL feel better (just make sure to also include lean protein like fish or chicken) and keep it up even into your pregnancy- your body and baby will thank you!
could not agree more with this!
It sounds like you're talking about a clenase kit that lets you eat a "normal" healthy diet rather than one that requires you to fast. I did the Renew Life brand Diet Start Cleanse (which allows you to eat with it). It does contain herbs though so I'd suggest talking with your Dr. if you're going to do it right before getting pregnant becuase it does say on the box "do not use while pregnant or nursing". I did it a few months before a got pregnant when I wasn't sure when we were going to start trying.
I liked it...wasn't extreme, didn't have any negative side effects and I feel that it really worked. I am going to do another cleanse whenever I'm done bfing (so I have a while!!)
