I've seen some posts on my Birth Month board and Second Tri about how many Targets are selling the Medela Freestyle pump on clearance for $94.
I've checked several Targets in Prince William County and haven't had any luck, and am going to check the Falls Church one today. Has anyone happened to see this deal in their local Target?
Thanks!!
Re: Target Medela Freestyle Pumps?
My understanding about how this works is that SOME stores have discounted this particular product. However, most of the stores with the discount are also out of the pump. So a lot of ladies have figured out that if they can find the pump somewhere and pay full price for it they can then take it to another Target where it IS discounted, return it and then purchase it again at the cheaper price.
A bit complicated for me so I haven't tried and the latest I've been hearing is that even that little trick isn't working. So you've got to REALLY want it and think it's worth the time and bother even if it doesn't work out.
Good luck!!
Hi all. This actually worked for us. After reading about this my SO and I decided it was worth the effort. None of the Targets around us (Ashburn area) had the Medela in store but the Target in Leesburg had the clearance price - just no Medela's. We ended up driving to Frederick, MD last Saturday to buy the pump and return/repurchase it in Leesburg. We saved $303!!
We've been told 'Well what if you can't breastfeed?' or something along those lines. Our position is we have a $400 breastpump (unopened) that we spent $100 on - we could potentially put it on Craigslist or even eBay and sell it for about $200 if our other options don't work out. Sure it was some time/effort but to have a top of the line pump for so cheap - it was worth it in our eyes.
