Who makes swimwear with serious built-in bra?

I was wishing for warmer weather and tried on one of my old suits...wow...sad pancakes.  No more teeny bopper suits for me. I'm having a post baby body reality check.  Do you know where I can find suits with an underwire and serious support? BF has made me a D but otherwise I'm about a 6 (in regular clothes, not swimsuits). I still want it to be cute and not too old lady.  I like the suits with shapers inside too.  Do you know where you can try on suits like this? Obviously stores probably aren't carrying them yet but I want to know where to look. Or have you ordered online and had it work out?

Thank you!

  • My SIL just posted about this on FB the other day.  Someone suggested Victoria's Secret for suits with good upper support.  Old Navy was also mentioned because they have tops that go big in cup size if you need it (online).

  • I have had good luck with Land's End but have always ordered a few and sent back what didn't work. Also, a specialty swimwear store will cost $$$ but typically the fit and quality are fantastic and they are open year-around so you could start looking now.

I am a 4/6 but a 34E bra size so finding a good swimsuit with support is essential!!

  • If you want super serious I would check out miracle suit.  I don't have a website handy, but I'm sure something would come up if you google it.

  • I have good success w/Lands End and Athleta. Both have good quality suits that come in variety of sizes and pieces.

  • Lands End.  You can order a couple of sizes online and return them to your local Sears store.  (very convenient!).  You can order by bra size to ensure a better fit.

As someone who is too big for Victoria Secret suits (I'm a 36E/F) I find L.E. to be very supportive.

  • I don't like VS at all. I don't find their fabrics wear well, and they're just not as supportive as other companies.

Now, I'm not super big chested, but I do need support after BFing 3 kids........the "ladies" need pushing up........

I like Athleta or Land's End. Athleta makes really fantastic and supportive swimwear. They are online only around here and I've never had an issue.

    GL in your search!

  • Thanks ladies. I had not considered ordering several sizes and trying them on at home. I will be checking out these sites you recommended today.

  • Another vote for Lands End!  I love their suits and they wear so well.

  • I like Athleta.  For shaping, Spanx makes swimsuits - you can order online but  department stores carry them too
