Progress on Project!! PIP

So I am hand quilting this for our next little man. It is on a quilting frame, so you get to see a big portion of it at least.

 This is what the hand quilting part looks like soo far. Its gonna take a while...oh jeez!

    Awww... Thanks soo much!! I am really getting a kick out of doing it. I have done tie quilts in the past, but never actually hand done one. I love, that my little man will have something that is from me and only me. Does that sound stupid??

    it does not sound stupid at all! My gma made quilts for all her grand kids and she used pieces of fabric from the outfits she had made us over the years. It is the most special thing that I could have gotten from her and I will treasure it and pass it on to my daughter when I pass. :o)

    It looks fabulous!  What a special way to celebrate your new little man.  My mom, sister and I have dabbled in quilting over the past year or so but nothing with that much detail.  I am impressed!

    I completely understand your sentiment above. My MIL keeps wanting to give me DH's old baby stuff, but I want the fun of making things for my own baby. I'm halfway through a knitted blanket and loving every stitch!
