Bought a baby scale....

I figured it was cheaper than copays. It is making me feel so much better to see that he's gaining every day! I talked to an LC on the phone and she basically said what you guys said--that I was overly worried and baby was gaining fine. She didn't even want to set an appointment. LO is on track to hit 7 lbs tomorrow. He's still so little but he is getting bigger!

  • Glad to hear he is right on track!

And I also own a baby scale - it is quite a hit at playdates;)

  • I think I was one of the people who said not to worry, but that's only in hindsight :-) J was even smaller than babysaint when he was born so I remember being worried about weight gain. I felt like it was my fault he was so little, like my body had failed him by not keeping him in long enough.

They catch up pretty quickly, though! Now he's 45th percentile for weight and 50th for height and totally normal. I bet in a week or so your LO will be growing out of his clothes and you won't believe how big he is already.

  • My ds was only 6lbs. even when he was born and I was a baby scale owner too! It did make me feel a TON better, lessened my anxiety and let me enjoy nursing a little more! It can be so hard to trust your body and theirs...you're doing great!
