QOTW: In light of the epic snow - if you could live anywhere in US, where would you live? What about if you could live anywhere in the world?

Been a midwesterner all my life. I joke every winter about moving somewhere warm - but dont think I would last very long.
I'm loving the snow right now actually. We had a block party w/our neighbors digging out all the cars and it was really fun and well wonderful to see everyone.
Ok but if we could live anywhere -- My husband is portuguese and we always talk about retiring to Portugal - so that would have to be it.
Oh and we're in Humboldt Park. I think I forgot that tidbit when I first posted.
I'm due tomorrow!.No baby yet...seems like I may be going an extra week. It must be comfy in there!
If I could move anywhere, I'd move to a coastal state...probably the sunshine state. I love the ocean and the sun so anything near a sunny warm beach would be awesome. Lake Michigan just doesn't compare.
As much as I like to complain about the extremes, I'm not sure I would leave Chicago. I really do like the mix of big city and friendly midwestern-ness.
But if it was an option, I might consider having a winter home somewhere warmer.
And if I could live anywhere in the world, I'd definitely move to Sydney. That city is really amazing.
If travel and money wasn't an object, I'd live in Hawaii in a heartbeat. Or Ireland. I love both places so much. However, this is home, and I really don't think I could live any where else.
The snow is so pretty!!
I would probably also move to Colorado. I have family there. My cousin has kids around my older dd's age.

Hello my name is Yesenia and I am expecting my LO on July 4, 2011 and am currently living in Bridgeport on the Southside of Chicago.
I was born and raised in Chicago so I am used to the cold and snow but I would love to live in LA or San Antonio maybe one day we will make the move. For now we will enjoy the wonderful snow lol
I really dislike the weather here in Chicago, but I have yet to visit a place that I'd want to reside. Great places to visit, but I'm not sure if I'd want to live there.
My friend was telling me that I'd love to live in the Bay area (CA). I plan on visiting this summer, but I'm not sure it could compare to the city.
I'm a beach person, anywhere near an ocean would be great, California or Hawaii would do
. But as pp has said as much as I complain about Chicago, it would be difficult to leave.

Children's names - I'm a baby name nerd and love hearing baby names.
Similar to the "Check Please" QOTD, how about posting places (playgrounds, restaurants, museums, etc. etc.) that are great for kids that others may not be aware of?
