Went to BBU today to register. I liked 2 amazing bedroom sets....one totalled $1,300 and the other totalled $1,500. It has a convertible crib, tall 4 drawer dresser and a long dresser/changing table. We left undecided.
Would you spend that much on baby furniture, that can grow with them for many years?
Re: Nursey furniture
They sell similar things at walmart stores, you can go to walmart.cpm and look at them and have them shipped to store for free. most of them are under 1000 total for crib changer and dressers.
I wouldn't pay that much for something I could get for much cheaper that does the same job and will last just as long.
I could see myself paying that much if the crib came with the conversion kits. If you are intending to convert the crib, most of the kits are $150-200+ for each conversion. So, in the long run, you could be spending another $300-$600+ for the other rails.

This is the furniture set I got from Costco for $780 for a crib and changing station/dresser. The crib came with all the conversion kits and you can convert the changing station into a regular dresser when your child is older. There was also a tall dresser, but we have walk in closets in our house, so I didn't end up getting that piece. Its amazing quality and should definitely outlast my kids.
They also have a few other sets on their website that come with the conversion kits for about $800-$1200
I budgeted $2,000 so yes, I would spend it, but NOT from BRU!! I felt like their furniture was just overpriced for the quality. If you go to an actual furniture store, like Baby's First or USA Kids, you will find better quality stuff at about that same price. Wait for a sale and you can get it cheaper.
We went with the Ma Marie by Stanley, which is in that same price range and just looks so much better and more well made than the BRU stuff.
