Feeding solids questions

I know when you start solids, there is the rule about waiting 3-4 days between trying new foods. This is probably a stupid question, but does that mean that if I give LOs sweet potatoes on Monday, I shouldn't feed them any solids again until Friday to check for allergies? Or, can I feed them sweet potatoes on M, T, W, Th, and then try a new food on Friday, as long as they had no bad reactions M-Th?

Yep, you can give them the same food 3-4 days in a row.

i think if you are low risk for allergies, 3 days is more than adequate.

To add to that, if you had already introduced another food, you can combine them as well. So if apples are a go and you are introducing squash, you can combine them.
