Ideas for a Weekend Trip w/ a 7wo?

We are considering going on a weekend trip with LO before I start back at work.  Any suggestions for something close, affordable, and not too overwhelming with 7 week old? Are we crazy?

    We went to Charlottesville when M was 3 months old and it went fairly well. We went in the fall, so we spent a lot of time outdoors. Winter is a little harder. The most difficult part was getting him to go to sleep in the hotel.

    I just got back from taking DS to Boston solo (DD too) and it was pretty easy.  He's a good car baby.  DD at that age was harder, she hated the car.  Wherever you go, know this, travelling with an infant isn't as relaxing as you would hope.  Check with your accomodations if you are not staying in a hotel, many B&Bs do not allow infants.  If you are driving further than your normal feeding interval, build in stops where you will be comfortable nursing.  As always I recommend Williamsburg, always a lot going on at all price points.  C'ville is pretty wonderful too.  Some of the pricy resorts on the Eastern Shore will be very affordable this time of year as well.

    What about Williamsburg?  There's a lot of walking outside but they do a good job of keeping everyone warm inside.  And there's always the great outlets :)
