Annoyed at my cervix....(mostly venting)

Yesterday afternoon I started having painful contractions. After timing them for a few hours and taking a long walk, where they became closer and more painful, I called the on call nurse to see what I should do. They had been coming every 3-6 minutes. She told us to head straight to L&D.

After arriving I was put on the monitors and sure enough there they were still ranging anywhere from 3-6 minutes and lasting 60-90 seconds. The RN came in to check my cervix...I was still at 1. 8 hours of contractions and my cervix is staying put it 1! I was so disappointed. I give two options (go home to sleep or walk for a few hours), we ended up coming home and I have been having contractions every 3-6 minutes since we left. I'm now super sore from contracting all night!

I'm really frustrated that my contractions are in the "active" labor phase, but my cervix seems stuck in the "early" labor phase.

I know some of you ladies have had this happen for weeks, I'm not sure I can deal with that. I really wish it wasn't the weekend so I could talk to my doctor about some options. I'm not able to relax and I'm ready for baby to be here!!
