When did you test + after 5dt?

Hi all, sorry if this question has been asked recently. My phone wont let me search past the first page!

I did ICIS 5dt exactly one week ago- is this too early to test? And if I do test and it is Negative could that maybe mean I tested too early?

    When is your beta?

    I did a 3dt but got a faint (and by faint I mean barely visible...totally thought the test was negative) at 9dp3dt...which would equate to you being 7dp5dt.  It seems like most of us have gotten BFP around that time...at least from past discussion of this.

    If it is negative...I would not give up hope right away.  Personally for me it is not over until the beta.  My BFP on 9dp3dt was so faint that I did not think it was positive but my beta was that same day and it was 35.  It rose to 83 a couple of days later.

    I didn't POAS until our second beta came back (my clinic's protocol is to draw the first beta, but run both betas together once second is drawn -- you don't get a call until second draw). That was 8dp5dt and it came up positive right away. Lots and lots of luck to you!!

    I am anti-POAS so I didnt do it until I got my postive beta at 9dp5dt.  Like ShellyBelly, it came up right away.

    I personally think 5dt is still pretty early, so if you decide to POAS, don't get discouraged if it's negative!

    This might sound so stupid of me, but what is a beta? I keep seeing this. I have been doing IVF w. ICIS over seas (we are living here and we've done it twice now) and my doc doesnt speak the greatest english, there is a bit of a language barrier to say the least. With IVF#1 I just went in for an ultrasound at 5weeks and they told me I was pregnant. I miscarried at 7wks.

    My appointment for this IVF#2 is on Feb14th which will be 14dp5dt, and so I am assuming they will just do the same.

    A beta is a blood test that will tell you how much of the pregnancy hormone (HCG) is in your blood.  Typical anything over 25-50 at 14 days past ovulation is considered a positive pregnancy.  Most RE's will run a second beta a couple of days later to check the rise.  You want to see that number double every 2-3 days.

    I tested 4dpt and got the faintest of faint lines. Good luck!

    My first very very faint BFP was at 4dp5dt. I couldn't believe it and tested again the evening of 4dp5dt and the very faint line is still there. I tested everyday after that and the line just kept on getting darker until it became the same color as the control line the day before my beta at 8dp5dt.

    IVF 1 - BFP 4/4/11 - It's a boy!
    FET 1 - BFP M/C 6/14
    IVF 2 - 33R/19F 12 PGS resulted in 5 normal embies
    FET 1 scheduled 12/10/14

    I was a POASaholic. I tested 5dp5dt and got a faint line. Tested the next morning and got a darker line then tested with a digital and got a "pregnant"!

    My beta was 7dp5dt so that is where you are now. I don't think it's too early to test.
