I forgot what it was like to have a better half! dh is home and WOW! we had a LOVELY dinner out last night (no dishes), dh put the little girl to sleep (bath and 47+ books), I relaxed and drank wine by a roaring fire, I slept in until 8:15 and dh is now outside with ginny and lulu taking snow off the roof. my shower was long and indulgent and I don't have to listen to 'kai lan' or 'fresh beat band' while I take care of the laundry and other "house stuff." it's so nice to have a conversation with an adult! my grumpy old self is actually smiling and really enjoying this time together. and ginny is THRILLED!

YAY! I love the weekends because I don't have to play with DS non-stop. It's so nice to have another adult around to have a conversation with and share the kid duties.

I can't even fathom how I would handle not having my husband around. I mean, I know I could handle it, but I don't want to! He's a great husband and an even better dad. I got very, very lucky and it sounds like you are very lucky to have your husband back (and he's lucky to have you guys back). I'm very happy for you guys.
