I have to get a new trashcan

My dog decided today that it was a good idea to explore the bathroom trashcan and it just so happens that I had an OPK pee stick thrown in there from testing after work.
After I hear DH yelling "bad dog, bad dog!" while I was folding laundry, I ran back to our bathroom to find the dog pretty aggressively holding onto the pee stick (gross) and DH grabbing at the other end trying to get it away from her (also gross). Using much effort, we got it away from her (whew).
Now my dog has a habit of exploring the trash, so I have been knotting the top of the bag and she hasn't been able to get into it until today...she must have REALLY wanted that stick because she destroyed the bag to get at it!
I guess I have to buy a taller trashcan.

LOL All of our trashcans have lids. We learned from previous dogs. Our dog now never goes in to the garbage, so we really don't have to worry, but here's an embarrassing story for ya:
While I went to college I lived at home. In the last year of college, DH came and lived with us. When my parents would go out, DH and I would take the time to have a little fun. Generally, we'd always throw out the evidence (ie: condoms) extremely well hidden in the trash.
Well.... our hiding efforts were no match for my parents' dog, as he went in to the garbage and retrieved the used condom, which he brought DIRECTLY TO MY MOTHER.
Oh animals... they're all fun and games aren't they?

This is why my trash can lives under the sink now; except mine was a bloody tampon
I can't even do that. Mine opens the cabinet door under the sink and gets everything out... he does love the used tampons/pads. That is always something fun to come home to!

We've been trying to remember to keep the door closed, but we're so forgetful and the dog knows it! haha.
I do! Charlie likes to take my underwear, only out of the dirty laundry of course, and hide it behind the couch. When I vacuum I usually find a couple pairs of underwear/a few socks/some random dog toys. My dogs are out of control haha!!!
I have to make sure it closes and latches. I have watched my min pins push on the door together to make it open.
Okay that mental image just made me LOL!!

This totally reminds me of an embarrassing moment I had when I was 14... I was spending the night at my friends house, and had AF. So, I changed my pad and threw it away in the trash can in the restroom. Well they had a dog who would go through the trash (I didn't know any better). The dog took my neatly wrapped pad and dragged it throughout the house. My friends parents were scolding my friend for putting a pad in the trash, and she replied "but I didn't do it!" I was sooo embarrassed.
