So, I have read in so many places that (including TCOYF) that Oral Sex before having intercourse is a no no if you're TTC. Saliva is not sperm friendly. It's so annoying because my DH and I love oral sexing it up before BD-ing. And just jumping into the sack, and going right into penetration is so boring....especially when you're TTC and having sex every other day....or every day. Anyone else annoyed with this whole "No oral sex" thing?

Didn't hinder us and I doubt it's really hindered that many others.
Edt to add: When my Dr. gave us the "what to know" info pack before I even went off of BC it mentioned this and said that unless there is a concern about low sperm count, the chance of there being enough saliva to make a considerable difference was very slim. If you're concerned, certainly avoid it but like I said, it wasn't something we avoided, FWIW.
Yes! ((mainly DH)) I hope that if we do a little oral and then I apply a little preseed things will be A-OK, but this was the first month of trying that method...

I think it should be fine and many babies have been conceived after oral sex. I personally will not stop.
We have oral the majority of the time before sex, foreplay is so important for me to enjoy sex! I don't think I could give this up.

Yeahup! Us too! Oral only outside of the fertile window. Maybe DH gets a break on this one this cycle!
Thanks for everyone's feedback. I think I am going to proceed with oral sex. I love it too much, and I know DH does too!! It's the hot sauce to our love making....I just can't give up on it. Perhaps I will get some Preseed in case the saliva is decreasing my chances of conceiving.

I think a lot of that stuff is a load of bs. There are so many people who follow absolutely no ttc rules at all and get pregnant without issue. Like pp's have said, if there is a know sperm issue or something, then that may be a different story, but for a normal couple with no issues, I seriously doubt that oral sex, or having sex in the shower is what's going to stop you from getting pregnant.
Even while TTC, live your life as normally as possible, and if you guys like having oral sex, then have it. If you're not pregnant a year from now (which hopefully is not the case), go get yourself checked, and I'm pretty sure a blow job won't be the issue.

Ok, all I can say is that I dont think I'm having enough oral sex. I didnt realize so many people enjoyed it as foreplay. I think I'm a bit picky when it comes to oral...bathe, shave, etc and then we'll play. My poor DH, he would die if he knew there were so many women out there who enjoy oral so much. Shhh, I'm not gonna tell him. Instead, I'm gonna relax a bit more and spice it up a bit.
And, I agree with the majority, I dont think it will hurt and Pre~Seed is awesome.
