full head of hair ?

so our LO was born with a very full head of hair.  all my friends had bald babies so haven't been able to help me with this. How did you take care of the hair?  I am so worried about cradle cap I lotion her head which just makes all her hair so gross looking.  How often do you wash with shampoo?  with just water?  lotion? etc

    all the babies in my family have a full head of hair and ds does too.  we bathe him and wash his hair every 3 days.  we use a mild shampoo.  no problems here.

    I bathe her, including shampoo, about every 4 days. She never had a cradle cap problem until two weeks ago and the pedi just said put baby oil on it. I did that before her last wash, combed it out, and it was fine! No other issues here :)

    DD has a full head of hair too.  My DS did not.  FIY, DS had almost no hair and had cradle cap...I don't think hair matters for that one.

    I use the Johnson and Johnson head to toe baby wash to wash her hair in the sink right now.  I wash every 2-3 days depending on when its needed.  Every day would dry her out in the winter I think.  I gently towel dry her hair and let it air dry (brush it with a soft brush while wet).  I hold her in the "football hold" over the sink to wash her hair.  When she gets a little older, I will switch to baby shampoo and conditioner (as I did with DS).

    BTW,  DS had cradle cap and the best solution was to wash it with a little Head and Shoulders shampoo.  You just have to be careful not to get in in baby's eyes because it is not "tear free"

    Both of my children were born with a head full of hair.  DS is still really small, but I washed DD's hair every 3-4 days.  When she got cradle cap, I put baby oil in it and combed it out.  It went a away fairly quickly.

    I wash her hair every few days and she seems to be doing fine and i use head to toe body wash
