Early gender scan - when?

Just came from a great NT scan where I got the "all clear" on the scary stuff, and a gender guess of girl!  Which was great but what a tease.  I know of a few places that you can pay to do an early gender scan, but I just don't know how early.  And of course since I am at work (where they don't know yet) I can't call these places as find out.  Anyone know at what week you can do the earliest scan and be certain?

    About 16 weeks. That is when most places that you can pay to do gender determinations ultrasounds start at. We had one done for our son at 16 weeks exact as did a friend for hers. They were both correct (boy for me, girl for her). Good luck!

    The 3d place by me lets you come as early as 14 weeks... though I might wait an extra week or two, just to be safe!

    The places I've looked at all say 15-16 weeks.

    I read 14 wks is the earliest you should have the prediction and have it be accurate--anything after that is obviously better, but I'd wait until at least 14 wks--which isn't too far away for you!

    Around here they do them at 16 weeks.

    Our local place says they will do it at 15 weeks at the earliest.  If they can't see anything, you get a free visit to come back and see at a later time.

    It seems like it takes for ever to get to the point to find out.  Not that it matters that much I just want healthy but I keep seeing the cutest clothes and want to buy everything! haha

    I went in yesterday and they guessed girl, too. It is a tease. Either way, it eould be great to know. I live on Long Island and looking for a 14 week place, but have only come across 15 weeks. I am measuring 5 days ahead to maybe it doesn't matter. I am going back at 16 either way, but the baby may not cooperate, etc and I am dying to get a second opinion in a few weeks.

    I just booked mine. On the website it says they'll do gender determination as early as 15wks, but I opted for 16wks since I think its a safer bet. Actually I'll be 16w2d at our appt, I was lucky that they do Saturdays! Can't wait!
