I don't know why finding a baby book is so hard, I have a feeling I'm making it out to be a bigger deal than it truly is.
So far I have yet to find anything in the stores that I like - I found one on Etsy that I love but the seller is on vacation until further notice and with Baby M due in 27 days...I don't have to time to hope she comes back soon enough. I am hoping to have one before s/he shows up but at this rate...I may have to take notes and transfer it all into a baby book when I finally get one.
I found another seller on Etsy I liked but I can't swing the $80 book right now...so anyone have any recommendation on a baby book I can get in about a week or so?
Re: Frazzled
I have this one: https://www.buybuybaby.com/product.asp?WRN=-79413460&SKU=15158379&
They have it at BBB and BRU. I actually really like it a lot. I was having a hard time finding something and didn't want to spend a huge amt on the ones I liked on Etsy since I scrapbook myself and spend a ton of $ with that.

Love that Sheila and its pretty neutral.
I have a girly one that I purchased through BRU so I'm no help Tarah.
I want to be able to have the footprints in there on the page. I don't NEED to - just would really like to have it before the baby shows up.

I totally understand the needing to feel like you've got everything done and ready for the baby. I was kinda stressed too, but in the end it didn't really matter all that much.
fyi...the book I ended up getting him didn't even have a footprint page. I just made sure to get an extra set from the hospital and planned to 'scrapbook' it into whatever baby book we got. It just so happened that the book we got from etsy didn't even that page. So I just added them in on one of the blank pages. I guess some hospitals don't even do them anymore. They'll give you the stuff to do it yourself, but they don't all do it anymore.

We have this one from Babies R Us. I liked the pages it offered. There is a spot for footprints in the book somewhere. The hospital wouldnt do Lucas' footprints in his book and didnt give us anything to do it. They did it on a card with his birth info and I put it in the book with photo corner sticker things.
Mommy's little helper
I have the same book Sheila has and I love it. The pages are very detailed and personally I liked a bound album instead of a binder type because then the pages don't rip out.
I would just go ahead and order the baby book you like. As far as the foot/hand prints, you can just do it on some pretty paper and then add that piece of paper once you get the book. Babies are squirmy, so this way if the first attempt doesn't work you can try again. That or just do it when the album arrives. It really won't matter if it's a week or so later.
Have you tried Hallmark? They have some gender neutral ones:

here's another one:

This is is blue with a yellow polka dot, but there are other designs:

I was looking at this seller on Esty before I decided on another one.

This book is on sale too!
I don't see a footprint page listed, but maybe she could make one for you.
Ignore me, it is the 2nd page listed. Duh.
That's a really good idea. I am sure that most sellers would be able to do that for you pretty easily.
