Anyone crampy with back pain but no ute tightness?

Starting last night around 8 PM and still going on I've had on and off crampiness and lower ute achiness, and lower back pain/achiness but no hardening of my ute. I'm thinking it not contractions and its not really timeable anyway. But what the hell is this? Anyone else have this feeling? Maybe its my cervix dilating and dropping (wishful thinking.... please please please.)

    Yup, I've has menstral like cramps in my back for about 2 weeks. I went in when I was 35 weeks to get monitored since it was still early, it wasn't really anything. Sad to inform you that I have them still (almost all day long) and I'm still sitting here with no more progress.

    Yes. I had this, but also paired with BH contractions. Pretty sure it was my cervix thinning and opening up because I got checked yesterday and was 2cm 70% effaced. I was having Menstral like cramps and slight back leading up to my checkup, so I would assume thats what "effacing" (if thats even a word) feels like..

    Having this too... the MW told me that they are BH that are in my back.  They freaking hurt.

    She also told me that the back pain was because of the way that the baby is in there and that I should try and get her to move otherwise "she would take the scenic route out and that could be long and painful."

    And then I hit her in the face.

    Yes! Starting last night around 5pm I was really crampy and felt that way throughout the night. This morining they got stronger and were coming in waves. I'm pretty sure they were contractions but only lasted about 40 minutes and went away. I don't think it's what effacing feels like, like PP said b/c with DD I was 90% effaced and never had this feeling. Hopefully something is happeneing though!!!

    Yes, me too exactly! I hope it's baby dropping and maybe some early dilation/effacement. GL to us!
