Success after IF

does pedialyte really expire after 48 hours if in the fridge?

and if so why?

We opened some last week, and have a barf fest again this week. It was in the fridge the whole week, can we use it?

  • I hope not!  Betsy is on augmentin and I just know the diarrhea is coming.  I opened a big thing of pedialyte this am so she can start take it before the big D starts.

  • I've always had the same question!  My dh and I have had arguments about it too - I am sure it would be fine but my view is that I'm not risking it on my child.  I'm a rule follower though.  I told my dh he could be the guinea pig and drink it a week or so later to see if it's ok.  We now have an open bottle sitting in the fridge.  I can let you know in 4 days- LOL.
