August 2011 Moms

After cursing my clothes yesterday...

and feeling generally fat, frumpy and not happy in my own skin, i came to the realization today that i was damn lucky to go through this phase during the winter. I am now solidly in the "is she fat? is she pregnant?" stage of pregnancy and it's nice to be able to cover it all up with winter clothes so that, when spring rolls around, i'll hopefully have a nice baby bump and won't just feel like a heifer (or maybe i WILL still feel like a heifer - who knows!).

  • I agree. Plus, i think we'll get lucky not having to buy winter clothes/coats/etc. for a baby bump. It's much easier to throw on a summer dress and flip flops.

  • I was just thinking the other day - thank goodness I don't have a huge bump in the winter time, I would be able to bend over to put on my boots!

  • good for you to for trying to stay positive. plus when it is hot out we will all be glad that when we're larger, we don't have to wear heavy clothes. i see plenty of cute sundresses in your future.

  • I agree! It's been so nice to wear comfortable sweaters to cover my bloat and now tiny little bump. It's made hiding my pregnancy at work much easier.

And I realize that we all may be HOT and uncomfortable in the summer. But I can't wait for sundresses and flipflops! I stocked up on 5 sundresses from the ON sale!

This kind of love is what I dreamed about ~6.4.10~
  • I agree!  It's a lot easier to throw on a sundress and flip flops then it is to put on a ton of layers.

  • I am in that stage too. I'm really glad I don't have to wear a bathing suit right now! By the time bathing suit season rolls around I should have an obviously pregnant (and hopefully cute!) belly.

  • I completely agree! This summer I am going to live in sundresses.
  • I cant wait until I have a "real" baby bump and I get out of this stage where I still look like Ive just gained some weight. I am NOT excited about being pregnant in the summer time here in England because there is no AC anywhere, not at my job or in any of the houses or stores...so I think I might be very miserable!
