  For some reason when I read it it sounds like it rhymes with "ready" but that doesn't make sense, since that's not how it's pronounced in pediatrician.

  I'd pronouce it peedy, but I only use "pedi" when on the bump.  IRL I'd say the full word.

   Even though it should probably be rhymed with reedy. IRL I use the full word or just say 'his doctor'

  i just say the Dr. Clearly if I am referring to one of the kids it should be a given that its the pediatrician.
