I have a new level of respect for single and military moms

DH has been out of town since Monday and won't be back until next Monday. It has been 4 days and I already had a brake down last night. He got a job transfer and is in MN looking for houses while I'm here trying to keep our house spotless because we have had showing after showing on our house and it's not even that I can't handle doing everything on my own but I hate being alone and I miss him so much. I don't know how single moms, military moms and mom who have husbands that travel a lot do it. I'm emotionally drained!

    I can't imagine either! DH works in construction so we have weeks where he is basically comes home to sleep for a few hrs before leaving again. During those weeks I am so grateful my mom is around the corner because I need it!

    MH was deployed for the first 4 months of DD's life.  It sucked.  I really did feel like a single parent, even though I knew he was there for me emotionally and financially.  If anything, the deployment gave me a deeper appreciation for how hard it must actually be for single parents.

    This.  DH goes through spurts where he travels weekly for work (Gone M-F for several weeks in a row).  We are totally used to it but I am glad that he's just a phone call away and we don't have to worry about how we are going to pay the bills.

    As military spouse I consider myself pretty tough but I think I would need help if I had a baby. All the times I have been home while DH was somewhere else I have been without a child. If he deployed now I might go stay somewhere with a relative for support and help.
