Single or double jogger?

My husband and I have a son who is 13 months and we are starting to try for another. We are looking into buying a jogger in the next few months, but can't decide if we should look at singles or doubles. I know I'd like to be pregnant before we make our final decision for a double, but I have other concerns as well. The new baby obviously won't be in the jogger for quite some time, but my husband would like to go running this summer, so is it silly for him to have a double for just 1 child for a while? Am I trying to be too money efficient by thinking we should just get a double? Any thoughts are appreciated Tongue Tied (P.S. This is my first long post like this and I can see I don't know the shorthand language like many others here.)

Re: Single or double jogger?

  • Imagine getting a single and then getting pregnant this cycle...

Get a double and just use the other side to store things for your LO (Little One) until he has a brother or sister.

    That's what I would do.

  • We got a single and will sell it once the second baby is here, and buy a double. We've used the single for 18 months now and we bought it used from Craigslist, so it was definitely worth it. I think it would be weird to run with a double before having another child, and they are already pretty hard to push and move with a toddler in them even with a single one.
