My update, Lilleybug what is yours?

They are going to take my cervadil out here in two hours and then give me a breather to take a shower and what not before they start the pitocin. This cervadil is causing some uber contractions though, if pitocin is a TON worse then this there is no way I am going to hold out having an epidural (which is what I wanted). I am so uncomfortable as well but they said I am almost 2cm and 60% effaced so it is all doing something, thank god. I was able to get a good 4 hours sleep with a sleeping aide though but there is no way I can sleep through these contractions right now.

 

How are things progressing for you?

ETA: What also sucks is that my OB's husband is out of town so she has to watch her kids which means I won't have her here with me. I have two random OBs I never met :(. I am not going to stress over it but I really love my OB and wish she was able to be here so it kind of sucks.

    Allysun, I know it stinks that your OB isn't there, but its super good news that the Cervadil helped so much! I saw in your other post that you are scared, and thats logical, but just remember, your body was MADE to do this! You can do it!

    Agreed, your body was made for this. But if it gets too rough, don't feel like you 'failed' or 'gave into' the epidural.

    This. Especially with the pitocin, that shiit doesn't mess around! I want a med-free birth too, but I also know that if they say the word pictocin I am gonna say the word epidural.

    Lilley is doing good. They started pitocin and she has an epi on order. All night of contractions and she's still only at 1.5 cm dilated.

    Glad she is doing well, especially after contracting all night, ugh, poor gal has got to be tired!
