DD's poop is causing her to cry and is firmer than I would like. Not pellets, but probably playdoh consistency. I'm sure that it's from all of the rice cereal she's now consuming, but do you think it will regulate some, or do I need to be concerned?
Oh, wait. I'm stupid. Rice in a bottle is still a solid. That's what normal early solids poop looks like. She's probably just getting used to the new sensation of pooping.
We had constipation problems when we were thickening DS's formula. Before he was ready for water or juice, our pediatrician suggested Karo syrup. It really worked, especially when he was little. If you're concerned she's uncomfortable, it's always better to call than not...and have a cranky baby over the entire weekend!
Re: Now she has constipation (yes, I'm a PW today)
you can't give her water, right?
I'd call the pedi just in case - this may not go away if she keeps eating rice
Just wanted to say, I had to giggle... "getting used to the new sensation of pooping." Now there's a sentence only a mom would say!
LOL I was thinking the same thing!
