ok for flame free friday I want to ask who puts their LO on their tummy to sleep (doesnt go down on their backs first, just straight to tummy sleeping)?
DS sleeps horribly unless hes on his stomach so in a last ditch effort to help him sleep better I've been putting him in there on his tummy, hes out like a light in no time, and he sleeps through the night.
Yes, I know the possibilities but i'm 3 feet away and check on him frequently. Am I alone or does anyone else do this too?

My son never slept on his back. We started with him on his side and he was on his tummy by week 3. He's been a tummy sleeper ever since, and he's in his own room, too.
I know there are quite a few of us on the Bump!
This except I think he was a bit older before we went from side to belly.
this is what I understand too, he can do both so I dont feel so stressed about it now!
This. Always been a tummy sleeper.
No flames from me!
DD has always been a tummy sleeper. When she was first born, she would only sleep on my chest (on her tummy). After a couple weeks she prefered her side, but eventually went back to what she loves best - her tummy!
You are not alone . DD has always slept on her tummy . The only time she sleeps on her back is at DC and that is only because by law they can't put them down on their tummy to sleep . Now that she can rollover it doesn't really matter she sleep however she feels comfortable sleeping .
Once she could roll, it was all over for back sleeping. I put her on her side now and let her roll whichever way she likes. She goes back and forth easily, so I don't stress too much.
That doesn't mean I don't watch her breathe on the video monitor.
I totally do since that's how they'll end up.
I don't understand the parents who go and roll their kids onto their back 900 times a night. How pisssed would you be if you got into a comfortable sleeping position only to have someone roll you over right away? Get an angel care monitor and remove the fluffy bumper if you need to, but let your kid sleep!
