Has anyone else's baby done this??

My 6wk old is having some napping issues. She'll fall asleep then 10 minutes later wakes herself up. I go back in, soothe her back to sleep then 10 minutes later she's awake crying again and we keep repeating this until she's ready to eat again. They're not angry or hungry cries, just short "pay attention to me" cackles that progress into screaming if you don't answer. She hasn't had a solid nap in two days! Any one else have experience with this? What's going on?!?

    About 6 weeks old, a lot of babies go through a phase where they kind of regret being born.  They are super fussy and demand tons of attention, but they don't really know what it is that they want!  Your best bet is to pay attention to her and do whatever it takes to help her nap and stop fussing.  She'll get back to normal in a few weeks!

    My LO started this around the same time as yours as well.  After elimaniting everything else we realized that he was having trouble putting himself to sleep.  I would shush him from his swing or crib and tuck him in, but it took forever and the poor guy, like yours would only get a short nap before it was time to eat again. 

    Now I do the 5 S's and have realized that he loves to sleep on his side.  So I soothe him on my lap, sofa, crib wherever on his side while sushing and rocking and he is out within 10 minutes or at least relaxed enough to fall asleep without crying.  I have noticed, now at 8 weeks, that he lights up when he sees me now and it makes me feel so great, like I am finally meeting his needs!

    My son does this as well and he's only 4 weeks!

    This made me giggle. 

    My DD did the same thing around 6 weeks. Hopefully your LO will grow out of it.
