New Baby

So, my aunt and uncle are foster parents. They have a two year old girl that is just the sweetest EVER, a 7 month old baby girl, and just recently picked up an 8 week old baby boy. Their stories are heartbreaking and its so sad to think of the chaos they've had in their young lives, but so fun to spoil and love on them in the time they are with our family.

I always think of how amazing that would be, to do something like that for children who need a good home. But it must be so difficult to give them up when the time comes.

Yeah, I would LOVE to do it. My family has a large background working with children with special needs, fostering, etc. However, DH said no. I am secretly hoping my aunt and uncle will somehow adopt the two year old. She just fits into the family so perfect.

Wow, your aunt and uncle are amazing people! It takes a lot of patience and love to be foster parents. I myself am adopted, and when I was born, I lived with a foster mother in South Korea for 4 months before coming to the U.S. to live with my adoptive parents. Although they may not remember your aunt and uncle once they are adults, having a loving family to live with while you're waiting to be adopted is so important. Enjoy your time with them!

aww thanks!! i'm assuming you're talking about the proposal one? DH had his photog friend capture the whole thing. he'd been planning it for weeks. i have a CD of all the play by play pictures he took.
