Up until now I've been supplementing my breast milk with Similac (solely off samples we received pre-birth.) I see a transition to all FF in our future, so I'm curious how others chose which brand to use.
I have been using Similac and to be honest there was no particular reason that I chose that one over Enfamil. I had samples of both and tried Similac first and she seems to be doing just fine with that so I didn't see a reason to switch her to anything else.
We use Enfamil..it's what they gave us in the hospital when we started supplementing and he's done great with it. We are using Enfamil Newborn but switching in Enfamil Infant soon since it's a little easier to find...they are tge same thing except the Newborn has a little more vitamin D in it. At one point we tried Similac sensitive because DS was really gassy and fussy. We had a sample of it and it was a disaster so we went back to the Enfamil.
We use gerber good start its what we used to supplement in the hospital because my milk wasnt coming in right away. My milk never came in so we just kept using gerber good start because we didnt have any problems when she used it so didnt want to switch.

We use formula to supplement. For the first two months, we used Enfamil Premium Infant or Enfamil Newborn (the latter was just a free sample). We recently decided to try Enfamil Gentlease because DS gets a lot of gas; we're still making the transition and are unsure if we like Gentlease. Since we switched, DS has had some green poop. I wonder if others have had the same problem when changing types of formula (or specifically changing to Gentlease) and if it will only be temporary.

we use Emfamil Newborn and at one point switched to Similac Sensitive which is essentially the same as Enfamil Gentlease. It really messed with his poops so after a week we switched back. DS is very gassy too so we use gas drops every now and then.
My hospital and pedi gave me Enfamil samples so I used them. But now we need the Enfamil Nutramigen Lipil because he has a protein allergy. [We FF about 30% of the time.]
The hospital gave us Enfamil but we ended up choosing Similac because (1) we had free samples, (2) LO did fine with that brand and (3) the coupons we received!
I think we might switch to Target's UP & UP brand since it's so much cheaper and supposed to be like Similac. I compared ingredients and it's almost the same.
I'm using Target's Up and Up. According to our pediatrician formula is so tightly regulated that any brand is fine. I did get a coupon for good start so we tried it, but LO seemed much gassier and wouldn't finish his bottles, so we switched back.
We use the Sam's Club off brand called Member's Mark. It's the cheapest we have found and our pedi says they are all fine to use as long as the LO tolerates it. It's a huge can (48 oz) for $20. I found out it is the exact same formula as Wal-Mart's Parent's Choice but just cheaper. Our DD was fine with whatever formula we gave her. We used up all of our different brands of sample formula cans at first and she didn't have any problems

Any advice?
