XP: how do you clean "surface wash only" plush toys?

I bought DD the Lamaze Firefly this week and want to wash it before I give it to her, but am not sure what to do with it.....feeling the mom brain right now.

  • I have always washed plushies, whether it says surface clean only or not. Just put it on a super delicate wash and air dry..I have yet to have a problem doing so. HTH!

  • It's it's a simple plush toy [no rattle inside, or electronic parts] I just toss it in the washer anyway. But I'm also one of those people that washes some "dry clean only" clothes.

  • Just make sure to dry it well since it's hard to tell when the stuffing is really dry and you don't want it growing things.
