WW strategy for a big meal?

We go out every Wednesday for dinner.  I calculated the points and I basically use my entire day's worth in that one meal (the margarita was the majority of it).

So do I starve myself during the day for one big meal or do I dip into the weekly points?  I was basically trying to not use the weekly points but maybe that is not the right strategy?

What do you do?

  • oooh, I know this one!  Use your weekly points, that's what they are there for - our leader is adamant about this.  I've used my weekly points (and maybe a few phantom points) every week and am down almost 7 pounds now - actually got an alert that I was losing too fast.  I will admit that 1) I eat what I want if I'm going out (maybe not if it is weekly), ask Puckchick about our dinner a week ago and 2) carrots and apples are you're friends throughout the day - great way to fill up and 0 points!  Have fun!
