Tomorrow I'm going to lunch w/ co-workers. We are going out for Thai food. I've never had Thai food, but now have to figure out a WW friendly dish.
Here is the menu for where we are going:

I found 2 dishes I'm interested in - the pad prik & pad see eew. I found WW pts for both dishes (made with beef) - 7 pts for 1 cup, but does that include the jasmine rice for the pad prik . Wouldn't the pts be less for chicken or shrimp? If so, how do I figure out how much less?
This can be very tricky!
Re: NBR: Need help from the WW pros
Not an expert by any means... but shrimp might be best, only because you can count the number of shrimps they put in there, rather than guess at the ounces of meat.
If you add 1/2 cup of rice to the 7 points, that isn't so bad for a lunch.
I think even of you are off a few points every now and then, it's not so bad. The main thing is that you are making better, healthier choices over all and that will lead to weight loss. KWIM????
Oh, and I looked shrimp up and it looks like it is 1/2 as many points as other lean meat, ounce for ounce. They are just estimating the points value based on the recipe or several versions of it.
I think I would get the shrimp and, if it already calculates the meat in it, but I would probably just leave it as 7 points - maybe knock off a point at most.
Definitely go with a shrimp or chicken dish if you can. Also, immediately divide your meal. Eat one portion at the restaurant and save the other portion for your doggy bag. Also, brown rice is better than white, although not a big difference. If you can, have a small snack before you go so you're not starving. And, drink lots of water and hot tea
Always make sure you're calculating the points based on serving sizes. Most of the serving sizes at restaurants are ridiculously large (2 or more).
ETA: re-read your post. I see you did calculate points based on a cup. Disregard above.
