So The Dr. said Sex was ok. YAHOO! But Wife seems to have a few hangs ups or concerns i should say
What is safe and what is not safe. Positions, Toys the gamut ?
I'll say we used to be crazy - but i think now that I am baking 2 babies we would be more careful but fingers and hands seem like that can do more damage than a penis would and dildos and vibrators well they are clean but how to ensure they are clean enough.
Her other concern is that I am pg with 2 and that usually results in cervix issues and i have had my cervix dilated prior to getting pregnant - I know women have to have their cervix stitched closed so wife worries that if things are too "hard n fast" or hands and fingers are use that this may affect my cervix. Obviously we would be careful but just wondering
How did it work for you - so far in talking with friends they all seemed too scared to have sex?
Thanks,

Re: Pregnancy and SEX (could be TMI or Graphic )
I wasn't scared of sex during pregnancy. Every heterosexual couple I know has continued a normal (if not increased) sex life during pregnancy. So personally, I wouldn't worry about cleaning toys any more than you normally would. I don't think men take extra precaution to clean their penis prior to sex with pregnant women.
As for what is too rough - from what I read I would just avoid fisting. That seems to be pretty agressive and in one of the lesbian TTC books it talked about fisting leading to late term miscarriages.
FWIW - if I were you and I had a history of cervix dilation I'd probably sick to vanilla sex ;-)
I went into premature labor at 5 months and was dilated to 2cm from then on. No sex for 2 weeks and then we were given the go ahead with certain positions. Doggy and me on top were forbidden because the deep penetration can stimulate the cervix.
We found that spooning worked the best for us, no need to navigate the big belly and it was comfortable and not too deep. I actually went into labor in this position because it was one of those "hard and fast" times when we were trying to get me to start contracting (given the go ahead by the doctor).
Yeah...now I'm thoroughly embarrassed.
I hope this helps...

THANK YOU !!!
Butterfly grooves no need to be embarrassed. This is why WE love this Board. Its important information and who better to advise than women likeyourselves who have done it !
This is all very exciting to me and I will force Wife to read this thread so she will not be so afraid.

I figured that much but just wanted to make sure and moreover make sure J see this and understands - she does but still very cautious.
You are 100% right about my cervix and I was planning on vanilla just seems like common sense and certainly no fisting now!!!! But just wanted to make sure just in case I thought wrong ! Clearly, I did not recall the Late term miscarriage fisting correlation and I read all those TTC books... seems so long ago !
THANKS !
