New mom paranoia, anyone?!

1 Fatty babe had a diaper rash-
my thoughts: "OMG.. Is that a YEAST RASH? Poor baby! I've failed him!"
 
2 Eye boogers.. like, real gooey ones-
my first thought: "Am I not keeping him clean enough!? I've failed him!"
 
3 He pushed the bottle away and had "wet burps"
my nightmare: "I have to stop eating everything I love because I'm giving him GERD!"

Gah.. What a freakin' wreck.. hahaha! So now here I am.. about to enter week 3 of mommyhood and I'm just getting used to the notion of "being a mom" and I've realized that I recently stopped swooping him up into my arms at every little gurgle and oink he makes. Maybe at week 4 or 5 I'll get over the "HOLY HELL.. There was a REAL PERSON inside of me!" phase, eh?

    DD got a blistering diaper rash at 1 week old so I too am a horrible mother.  Took 2 weeks to find the right combination to clear it up too. 
    I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...

    I'm totally with you on this! I realized I'm not jumping out of fear with every grunt finally - took over 3 weeks too.

    However, today he has a horrible break out on his face and I'm wondering what I did/ate/used to cause it!

    hahahaha! My little fella just broke out yesterday, too! Maybe he got it from YOU! HMN....

    Right now he's asleep and just pooped and I'm thinking.. sh^t.. do I change him now? Let him sleep? Will the rash get worse if he sleeps another 30 minutes?

    This! LO's had a diaper rash for a few days that gets better, then a little worse... then a lot better, then a LOT worse... I've changed his diaper about 13 times today since 8 am, then an hour ago after he went to sleep I heard this toxic wet fart from hell... and wondered if I'm a bad mom for wanting him to sleep a little longer!

    This little one is my second and I still freak out with every little thing, maybe not as bad but I think it is mommy over drive.

    Don't worry I'm paranoid too! But mines along the lines of him sleeping and I can't be watching him all the time. My DS sleeps in the bedroom with us, but I just have this insane fear that he'll somehow die in his sleep. (Maybe it's because a women on my street was sleeping with her 4 month old and killed her.) I'm not saying I sleep with my DS but I'm just scared something will happen when I'm not looking.

    It's a horrible thing to be paranoid about.

    DD sleeps in her room/crib, but if she wakes up.after H leaves for work I bring her in our room to sleep inthe PNP. I am convinced someone is going to break in and steal her.

    She was just sleeping with her and accidentally rolled on her or something along those lines. Sad
