Superbowl Party Food

Are you attending or hosting a party?  What's on the menu?  I could use some inspiration.

Re: Superbowl Party Food

  • We were going to host a party, but waited too long to invite everyone, so now they all have other plans. Fail. DH still wants to get wings though, and I'm in the mood for the buffalo chicken dip. You know, all the healthy stuff. ;) I'm not sure what else though.

  • Not sure what our plan is right now, but Ree Drummond's ideas looked yummy to me!!

  • I'm looking forward to cold beer!  I think we might make buffalo chicken dip and a sausage dip with ro-tel and cream cheese.

We are having almost the same menu! I am making buffalo chicken dip and a sausage dip in the crockpot. Some of our neighbors are coming over and bringing stuff too. We decided to host so we can still put DS down at his regular time, but also get to hang out with everyone.

  • As a former Wisconsin gal, we are having beer soaked brats to watch the Pack.  also a nacho plate.
  • I was planning on having a small party...but it turns out 90% of the people we invited can come!!  (I planned way ahead!)...It's also my friends 30th birthday so her chef husband is making everyone Prime Rib!!  Lots of dips, cocktail weenies, veggies, etc.  I'm going to make oreo balls...yum.

    What is crack dip???

Buffalo Chicken Dip (aka Crack Dip)
    * 1-1.5 lbs cooked shredded chicken (about 3 large chicken breasts, boil before shredding) or you can use canned chicken
    * 8 oz. bottle of Frank's red hot sauce
    * 8 oz. bottle of Ranch dressing
    * 8 oz of Blue cheese dressing
    * 16 oz of cream cheese
    * 8 oz of shredded cheddar cheese

Mix chicken, hot sauce, ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, cream cheese, and about 1/3 of the shredded cheese together.  Spread in a 9x13 glass dish and sprinkle remaining shredded cheese on top.  Cover with foil and bake at 325 for 40 minutes.  Serve warm with tortilla chips, carrots, crackers, celery, pretzels, etc.

~~You can substitute for reduced fat dressing and cream cheese if preferred
~~ Some have chosen just to use Ranch or Blue cheese and not both

~~ Instead of baking, you can opt to put in your crock pot and warm at low temp. or simmer on stove

    It is delicious!!

Thanks! I was lost and confused...and hoping we weren't gonna see someone on the news for making some drug-laced food.

  • We're not doing much. We might have some neighbors over. But we're making chili, and DH wants to make ribs.
