Does anyone know if Beaumont Royal Oak has a birthing tub (or several)? I am sorta kinda considering a natural birth and I am thinking I might be able to convince myself if I can be in water for part of labor. I know I will be able to find out on a tour but that's weeks and weeks away and I will need a LONG time to convince myself if this is gonna happen.
Thanks in advance ladies!

Mommy's little helper
This is going to be completely not helpful...but the Troy Beaumont has 2 rooms with tubs. So it's a toss up if one of them would be open or not. I was put it one of the rooms with tubs, but never got to use it due to complications.
I also am pretty sure that it's Beaumont policy not to allow actual birthing in said tubs. I had asked my midwife what would happen if I refused to get out, or accidentally got to the pushing stage in there. She said they would drag me out and I could have my baby on the bathroom floor. Lovely.
The ABC unit sounds wonderful, but my OB only delivers at Beaumont Royal Oak. I really like them so I don't think I want to switch, but that might be a consideration for a future baby (we want one more)!
And if anyone else was curious about the answer to my question about Beaumont RO having a birthing tub, the answer is NO. Asked my OBGYN today and she said they don't. Sad face.
