So my blood pressure has been constantly getting higher and higher from my 36 week appt. At my last Appt, last friday, they gave me the pre-eclampsia talk and had me do the 24-hour urine collection. Well they had me do it sunday all day and then made an appt. for me monday to drop it off, get blood drawn, and check my BP again.
I asked the OB when we would find the results out and she it would be tuesday at the latest because they would want to schedule an induction for not later than wednesday. She also said that they were going to go ahead and schedule my induction now, incase i go beyond 40 weeks. (My hospital books up relatively quickly, from what she said)
Well i call tuesday at 2 p.m I haven't heard anything and they said they would call me when they receive the results. I am a bit angry on Tuesday because i would have been induced on wednesday if i had Pre-E. Well Guess what.. I got a call about 2 minutes ago explaining that i do, in-fact, have Pre-e and apparently I am to blame for not calling consistently. I am so angry, I could cry. Isn't it kind of and important test, they scared me enough with talk of inducing me, and then tell me it would be wednesday and then i get no call or anything all week and then talked to like a child like it was my fault for not calling sooner to find my results! I did call! You said you would call me as soon as the results were in!
Sorry so long, and if you read this.... well i hope you are just as angry as me 
or sad and scared...

Nope. I got nothing. Because she is a nurse and not an OB, which i fully understand, she is not allowed to discuss more than what the paper says. This is what she said to me " Your results came back and they were on the high side of normal, they want you to remain on bedrest until your next appt." And i responded with will i be getting and induction date?" and she said" Your OB will talk with you about it at your next appt." I am really upset and it is a scary thing, especially when your OB said they want to induce you ASAP if you have it, well i have it and now they are like, "well just stay on bed rest and talk to your ob later".
That sucks. I am so sorry that they have now stressed you out, but are not offering an immediate solution or even discussion. I hope you get word soon.
I would use their own arguement against them and keep calling the office until your OB calls you back to answer your questions. IMO.
I completely agree. This is not at all fair to you and absolutely ridiculous it took them so long to get back to you. Good luck and keep us informed!
I would call and ask to speak directly with your OB. He or she may not have seen the results and may still want to induce you ASAP, not wait for another appointment.

You know what if that is the case then I would call them back and tell them to have your OB call you ASAP. I would call every 2 hours until you got a hold of your OB. That is just me though. Hope you can get everything taken care of.

I'm sorry you're going through this, but if she said they're on the "high side of normal", I would take that to mean that they're still in the normal range, just on the higher end, although it sounds like they're just trying to play it safe by keeping you on bedrest until your next appt. I hope everything goes smoothly for you, but it sounds like if it would have been an actual diagnosis of pre-e, that they would have probably called you right away to schedule an induction. I hope this makes you feel better and try not to worry!
