So weird. I had some great contrax last night and then like, 2, today, and I wonder if that will help things get going. T minus one hour til DD wakes up from her nap so I'm on borrowed time!

Oooh, exciting. I am thinking about it. I'm getting my friends pump from her tomorrow, but it kind of freaks me out that it might actually work. I still have a little while to go though til I'm in your position.
I was thinking about you on my drive home from my appt today. 37 weeks 1 day - cervix is still high and firm. I was so sad, I can't imagine the same news 3 weeks from now.
Let us know how pumping goes! Otherwise I'm thinking I have a couple weeks of yelling at a body part I can't even see to try to scare it into doing something.
I'm really confused about the pumping to induce labor. I love the benefits of bf. What happens to the colostrum that is being made in your breasts. Will it get used up before the baby gets here during pumping? This is my worry about trying that strategy down the road.

I think you've answered your own question. You make more! You won't run out because you'll keep producing. Your body "knows" you haven't had the baby yet, so it's not done producing colostrum.

Hope it works for you!
