Seriously...Now I get sick?!?!

I went to bed feeling fine last night...and woke up with a nasty cold!

I haven't been sick all pregnancy and now at almost 39 weeks here I am.

Any ideas (besides lots of fluids and rest..which I'm doing) on how to kick a cold...and quick?

I can't imagine being in labor and not being able to breathe!

  • I've heard that congestion/head colds can be a sign that you are about to go into labor Wink

I would just go with lots of rest and lots of fluids.  You can also take benadryl to dry things up I think.

That would be amazing Smile But I've got a feeling now that I made it through all my PTL issues that Little One is going to need to be medically evicted!

  • I started feeling sick a couple days ago too, sore throat and a bit of congestion.  My cousin said she felt sick right before labor with both her kids.  Not sure I believe it's actually a sign of labor and not just a cold, but one can hope, right?  Feel better!

  • I also have a cold.  I hope it goes away by Monday...my delivery day.  I have had it for almost a week and I havent taken anything because I really didnt want to give LO anything and then the poor thing have to deal with deliver meds as well.  That's just me.  I think it will be all over in a few days just like any other cold.  So I'll wait it out.  For some reason I felt like it was baby related.  I felt like LO was taking everything she could from me at the last minute which is why I feel bad and she seems to be just fine.  LOL

My doctor said it is ok to take Sudafed for nasal congestion and Robitussin (plain) or Delsym for a cough.

    Hope you feel better.
