If you are looking for restaurants I've been to showers at both Camp Ticonderoga on Rochester Road and Kruse & Muer on Wilshire (Big Beaver). Both have private rooms, camp Ti it was upstairs, Kruse & Muer it was a front room.
Or there is the Rochester Community house if you want a public space to do a pot luck, nice facility in a park downtown Rochester.
My rehearsal dinner was at Rochester Mills brewery and I loved it! There's a small private room there.
My wedding reception was at the Rochester Community House on Ludlow. Again, have wonderful things to say about them! You have to bring your own food or have it catered from outside though.
My baby shower will be at the Royal Park Hotel. We are doing a Sunday 11-2 breakfast and they waived the room rental fee. It was pretty reasonable compared to other banquet halls. I was impressed that we could actually afford it!
